Faculty of Science is a renowned faculty of the University with highest number of research grants and publications. With 12 departments and 1 institute, faculty serves educational exigency of the region. Faculty has more than 250 research scholars working in diverse fields of disciplinary and interdisciplinary sciences. The Crash Course '24 is organized by Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda sponsored by GSBTM (Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission) for PG and Research students of Gujarat.

Qualifying exams namely Joint CSIR-UGC NET, ICAR-NET, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF, SET and GATE are very important to PG students for career in Life Sciences. To succeed at such national level tests require extra sets of practice and coaching. This 4 weeks crash course will provide a rigorous training of 210 lecture hours and numerous practice tests. The course is aimed at PG and Research students of Gujarat, aspiring for national competitive exams in Life Sciences.

Intake capacity: 100 participants (across Gujarat)

Eligibility:

1. Post graduation completed in biotechnology and allied area.
   
2. Domicile of Gujarat or having PG degree from Gujarat.
   
3. Participant must apply for June/July 2024 nationally important exams such as CSIR-UGC NET, ICMR-JRF, or ICAR NET.
   
4. Ph.D. pursuing/Research Scholar/ Contractual Teaching assistant has to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the guide/ parent institute.
   
5. Selected participants must pay refundable fees of Rs 2000 for PG students / Rs 2500 for PhD/employed.
